Ed Gard

With more than four decades of experience in construction and development, Ed Gard has built a reputation grounded in three simple principles: honesty, integrity, and trust.

A Daytona Beach native and graduate of Auburn University with a degree in Building Science, Ed has been a Florida State Certified General Contractor since 1984. Throughout his career, he has led projects spanning custom homes, multifamily communities, hotels, assisted living facilities, and large-scale developments. His background includes senior leadership roles with nationally recognized builders and developers, including Lincoln Property Company, Gables Residential, and Toll Brothers.

In 2008, Ed founded ESG Construction Services, bringing together decades of industry experience and a commitment to delivering exceptional value for homeowners throughout Northeast Florida. Since shifting the company's focus to custom residential construction in 2013, ESG has completed more than $18 million in custom homes and renovations across Volusia, Flagler, and St. Johns Counties, with several million dollars in active and upcoming projects currently underway.

Today, Ed continues to lead ESG with a hands-on approach, working closely with clients, designers, and trade partners to ensure every project is built with care, transparency, and attention to detail. Together with Project Manager Jerry Mock and the ESG team, he takes pride in creating homes that reflect each client's vision while delivering a building experience rooted in trust and accountability.

One of Ed's proudest accomplishments is the reputation ESG has earned throughout the community. Homeowners who have built with ESG consistently speak to the quality of the work, the professionalism of the team, and the integrity that guides every project from start to finish.

Founder | President

A lifelong Florida resident, Jerry Mock Jr. brings more than 20 years of hands-on construction experience and a deep commitment to quality craftsmanship. As a third-generation construction professional, he grew up learning the trade alongside his father, building the foundation for a career rooted in hard work, accountability, and attention to detail.

Before returning to the construction industry full-time, Jerry proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, where he developed the leadership, discipline, and problem-solving skills that continue to guide his work today. His career has also included experience on major commercial projects, giving him a well-rounded perspective across multiple sectors of construction.

Since returning to Florida in 2012, Jerry has worked extensively in residential construction, gaining expertise in framing, windows, doors, siding, and overall project execution. After earning his General Contractor's License in 2019, he joined ESG Construction Services as Project Manager, where he oversees projects with a focus on quality, communication, and client satisfaction.

When he's not managing projects, Jerry enjoys spending time with his family, boating, fishing, and making the most of Florida's coastal lifestyle.
